De Volksbank also pays compound interest to customers with a revolving consumer credit

Summary

Under the compensation scheme for customers and former customers with a revolving consumer credit, de Volksbank N.V. (de Volksbank) will also pay compound interest, thus following the recent ruling by the Appeals Board of the Dutch Institute for Financial Disputes Kifid in a case against another credit provider.

The first group of customers of SNS and RegioBank who may be eligible for compensation will be informed as from 15 September 2022.

For the expansion of the compensation scheme, de Volksbank will make an additional provision of € 4 million charged to the result for the second half of 2022, on top of the provision of € 15 million made in 2021.

Customers, and former customers, can find more information on the websites of SNS and RegioBank.
