Mirjam Verhoeven new COO of de Volksbank

Summary

Mirjam Verhoeven will join the Board of Directors of de Volksbank N.V. (hereafter the Board) as Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from 9 May 2019. The Supervisory Board announced its intention to appoint Mirjam Verhoeven to the Board at the end of last year. The appointment has been approved by the shareholder, the supervisory authorities and the Works Council. Mirjam succeeds Alexander Baas, who stepped down from the Board to focus entirely on the position of Director of Customers, Payments and Savings.

Mirjam Verhoeven (1967) has been working at de Volksbank and its legal predecessors in various positions since 2002. In her previous position as Chief Information Officer and Director of Innovation, she was responsible for IT & Change, the IT policy and shaping de Volksbank’s strategy in the field of innovation. In her new role she will, among other things, be responsible for the service centres, IT & Change and Facility Management.

With the appointment of Mirjam Verhoeven, the Board of de Volksbank consists of: Maurice Oostendorp (CEO), Annemiek van Melick (CFO), Jeroen Dijst (CRO), Mirjam Verhoeven (COO) and Marinka van der Meer (CCO).
